| The story so far,
White traveller, we`ve owned now for the best part of 30 yrs, not long after getting it we had to put van springs on because of the wife taking kids to school, well you could get quite a few kids in a traveller! Then it needed rebuilding due to underbody rust problems, a 1275 midjet engine was fitted and what a difference. So then the mods started coming, at this moment in time it has, 1300 ital engine coupled to a triumph 2000 overdrive gearbox, the gearbox is coming out because I need to lower the ratio for towing a modern braked trailer tent, I`m going for a 1500 spitfire overdrive box, brakes are ital discs with 1275 remote servo, very happy with these, one of the earlier mods, wheels are now 13 ins midget rims and suitable tyres, rear axle is 1300 mk 1 escort, altered for Morris wheels, interior boasts indicator stalk with dipswitch, 2 speed wipers/electric washers, Volvo 360 front seats, very comfortable, done Lands End to John o` Groats and back with those in 1988. Front suspension has been tweeked due to servo system but the rear is standard. |
